Metallurgical Bridge Crane can participate in specific process operations during steel production. The basic structure is similar to ordinary bridge cranes, but special cranes or devices are also installed on the crane trolleys. The working characteristics of this type of crane are frequent use, harsh conditions, and high work levels. There are five main types:
It is used to inject molten iron into the mixing iron furnace, steelmaking furnace and hoisting molten steel to inject continuous casting equipment or ingot molds. The main trolley lifts the bucket, and the auxiliary trolley carries out auxiliary work such as flipping the bucket.
2. Clamp crane:
Use a clamp to lift the high temperature steel ingot vertically into the deep pit soaking furnace, or take it out and put it on the transporter.
3. The de-suction crane:
Used to force the steel ingot out from the ingot mold. There is a special de-spinning device on the trolley. The de-spinning method is based on the shape of the ingot mould: some de-stripping crane presses the steel ingot with a jack, and lifts the ingot mould with a tong; some presses on the ingot mould with a tongs. Tweezers lift the ingot.
Used to add the charge to the open hearth. The bottom of the column of the main trolley is equipped with a pick rod for picking up the bin and feeding it into the furnace. The main column can be rotated about the vertical axis, and the picker can swing up and down. The sub car is used for auxiliary operations such as refurbishment.
5. Forging crane:
Used to forge large workpieces with hydraulic presses. A special tipper is suspended on the main trolley hook to support and turn over the workpiece; the secondary trolley is used to lift the workpiece.
